LA Contraband

LA CONTRABAND is a unique and exclusive urban art event unlike any other that has ever hit Los Angeles! Black Apple Gallery will present some of the very top and most sought after urban talents from Norway, the UK and Australia to show their original works for the very first time in Los Angeles; and for some, the very first time in the U.S. These cutting edge creative forces are well known world-wide. Their works are in high demand and even shorter supply. Most all of their creations adorn urban walls from London and Paris to Australia and Japan, with the even rarer canvas and print works having been snatched up literally minutes after their release. Practically none of this amazing work has ever seen the shores of the U.S. let alone Los Angeles… Until now. The main goal of this event is to bring the work of these amazing talents to the true fans of the work and to the eyes of those who would normally never get the chance to ever see it at all. This one night only event will feature one of LA’s top DJs providing the sound track to this unique visual experience and an open bar featuring Glenfiddich & Monkey Shoulder whisky, Hendrick’s Gin and Reyka Vodka. Enjoy it straight up or have a specially crafted selection by our mixologists. Some of the artists will also be creating limited edition prints, exclusive to this LA event, which will be available at the venue. As you can see, this will truly be an exciting historic event and if you are reading this then you have the unique opportunity to be an integral part of it. Above is a current list of the artists that will be featured as of this update and the list has been growing as the date grows closer. Some of these artists will actually be in LA for the very first time leaving their marks throughout Los Angeles and very possibly attending the event anonymously. Miss this one and you’ll cry yourself to sleep for the rest of the year. Current Featured Artist List: Including Dolk, Martin Whatson, Dot Dot Dot, SHOK-1, Eelus, PEETA, John Doe, Pure Evil, K Guy, JPS, Rourke Val Dal, Sandra Chevrier, Trust Icon, Daniel Mernagh.

Date: 9th November 2013
